My Mountain Lifestyle Story.
When I am asked about my childhood the first thing that comes to mind is downhill ski racing. It was my first true passion in life. Every weekend in the winter I went with my family to Castle Mountain Resort in southern Alberta and skied. My other activities over the course of the year were mainly to stay in shape for skiing. These included x-country running in the fall, track and field in the spring/summer and hiking in the summer.
After high school I continued to play in the mountains. I started coaching ski racing to pass on my passion to the next generation. After a few years of living in very small mountain communities I began looking for somewhere with a little more depth to it. A grocery store, a bank, a fitness centre, and a few other things to do were on my list. Canmore was the place that called out to me the most and I have never looked back.
Then came massage therapy. I did a weekend course one spring and was hooked! I knew that I was meant to be a Massage Therapist. I completed my 2200hr Massage Therapy Diploma in 2014 through Mount Royal University in Calgary. My goal while working is to use massage therapy for both prevention and maintenance of injuries, and to help every patient get back to their own passion.
My passions outside have shifted slightly over the last 10 years. I now love to back country ski, rock climb and mountain bike.
I look forward to working with you and getting to know your mountain lifestyle story.
